    THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN EITHER IRVINE, CA OR ROCHESTER, MN

    The SoC Development team is seeking highly motivated engineers to join a team of experienced engineers working on development of hard disk drive controller SoCs.

    As a Verification Engineer on the HDD SoC Development Team you will develop testplans and tests for use in testing complex hardware in System On Chip (SoC) ASIC’s.  Your work will enable industry leading data storage control SoC’s that get deployed into high volume consumer and enterprise products.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Architect, develop, and automate the verification infrastructure using state of the art verification modelling methodologies and formal verification techniques.
    • Verify Host Interface (SAS and SATA) and Memory (DDR3/4) IPs
    • Collaborate with architects, designers, SW Engineers, pre- and post-silicon verification teams to develop test plans
    • Create, debug and support tests to close coverage
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with 4-8 years of experience
    • Deep understanding of SystemVerilog UVM and coverage driven verification methodology
    • History of building and improving UVM based verification methodology

    SKILLS:

    • Experience with both unit level and top level verification
    • Knowledge of SAS and SATA protocols (Phy, Link, Transport, Application Layers)
    • Knowledge Buffer designs and DDR3/4
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Interest in ASICs, SoCs, hard disk drives, flash memory, semiconductor components
    • Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues
