    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Wet Process (Electroplating, Liftoff and Wet etch) owner in a high-volume 24x7 wafer fabrication environment.
    • Responsible for chemical analysis for the chemicals used in the wet processes (Electroplating, Liftoff and Wet etch).
    • Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing SPC/APC process control schemes.
    • Responsible for the disposition of wafers on hold following specifications and establishing out-of-control action plans. 
    • Responsible for performing failure analysis on defective wafers and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
    • Focal point for continuous process improvement working with various teams: Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Process Engineering, Vendors, Development, etc.
    • Responsible for achieving yield, cost, and cycle time goals. 
    • Key role supporting new product design / development / integration / qualification, and production ramp up.
    • Responsible for introducing and qualifying new equipment, materials, and processes.
    • Responsible for documenting procedures, specifications, process changes, etc. and for providing training to manufacturing personnel.
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • PhD or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or related fields.  
    • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in electroplating, lift-off, wet etch and CMP wafer processes.
    • Fundamental knowledge of wafer-level device fabrication techniques (electroplating, photolithography, liftoff, chemical etch, CMP, etc, ...) and metrology (XRF, profilometry, etc)
    • Strong background and experience in statistical data analysis and 6-sigma methodologies.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • Hands on experience with chemical analytical instruments such as HPLC, ICP and UV Vis etc. is preferred

    SKILLS:

    • Self-starter with strong initiative & detail-oriented approach. 
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to work in a cross-functional team setting.
    • Must possess manufacturing process engineer mindset, ability to work in a high-pace dynamic environment, and ability to multi-task.
