Job Description Responsibilities Conduct measurements and tests of advanced perpendicular and heat-assisted magnetic recording components on Guzik spinstands and other testers. Carry out verbal or written instructions and independently make decisions to complete measurements and tests in a timely manner. Record, organize, and prepare test data for further analysis. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on test equipment and other systems. Assist in developing and debugging new test equipment and testing procedures, and make suggestions for improvements. Observe all safety policies and requirements. Read and interpret documents such as technical operating and safety and maintenance instructions, and technical procedures manuals. Work and interact with peers and engineers in head and media operations.

Additional Information Qualifications 6+ years of experience as an electronics or engineering lab technician. Own a minimum AA Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience. Previous experience with Guzik testers and/or testing recording heads and media. Ability to set up, use, and maintain complex hardware and testing equipment. Microsoft Excel skills (for summarizing data). Willingness to learn, be flexible, and work independently with minimal supervision.
