    Job Description

    The summer internship of the Western Digital Product Rotation Program is an intensive, exciting opportunity to join our product organization. Interns will take on challenging projects and solve complex problems to help drive the company forward. Roles in this program vary from Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Strategy, Outbound Marketing and other related roles. Throughout the 12-week summer, interns will also participate in: 

    • 1:1 mentorship 
    • Weekly development trainings 
    • Executive exposure 
    • Social and networking events

     

    Western Digital relies heavily on the MBA summer internship to fill full-time positions in the Product Rotation Program. This program offers recent MBA graduates the opportunity to experience a diverse set of product roles within the Flash Business (3 roles over 3 years) while also developing technical and leadership skills. The goal is to foster a community of future leaders in the company by giving highly talented MBAs ample opportunity to drive impactful work, expand their network and develop the skills that enable them to be successful. Members immediately join a close-nit cohort of MBAs that drive the direction of the program and have a lot of fun along the way with regular coffee chats, happy hours and offsite events. 

    WHAT IS THE RAMP PROGRAM? The RAMP Program is supplemental to your day-to-day internship responsibilities. In this program, you will gain deeper exposure to Western Digital’s culture and the different parts of the organization. RAMP Program elements include:

    • Engaging networking activities with cohort
    • Equity, Inclusion & Diversity and Global Giving & Doing events
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an MBA degree 
    • Exceptional communication skills 
    • Experience in effectively interacting with executives and cross-functional teams 
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
    • Successfully operates in a fast-paced, evolving team environment maintaining an agile mindset 
    • Track record of solving complex problems 
    • Team player, highly collaborative and able to influence without formal authority 
    • A self-starter with the ability to work independently 
    • Strong prioritization, time management and organization skills 
    • Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case in order to employ you (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)

     

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 

    • Undergrad degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Data Science or another STEM field) 
    • Demonstrated leadership experience within professional, academic or volunteer roles  
    • Prior work experience in semiconductor industry 
    • Prior work experience with a top consulting or investment banking firm
