    Job Description

    Western Digital’s Segment Business Management team is responsible for the global business planning, strategy, and execution within the Distribution, Retail and Etail go-to-market channels. The core focus of this team is to drive revenue, profitability and share growth within our channel business, overseeing the development and execution of strategic market and product line plans. The candidate chosen for this role will develop a strong understanding for the WW AME (Automotive, Mobile, Emerging IoT) channel business, analyzing market data, identify new and existing opportunities, and helping to shape the strategic direction of the category.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for driving revenue, profitability and share growth within a dynamic growth category
    • Leads Channel AME management and reporting including regional target attainment, tracking sales in, sales out and inventory (weekly/quarterly)
    • Drives supply planning and allocation decisions, interfacing closely with Sales and the Flash BU to define strategic regional customer outcomes
    • Leads tracking and consolidation of Channel TAM, volume, and share, working closely with BI and regional Sales teams
    • Manages monthly regional market dynamic and sales funnel / pipeline calls
    • Performs market analysis, research new prospective accounts/segments, and creates/implements coordinated GTM plans
    • Attends key customer meetings with respective regional Sales counterparts
    • Provides weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting updates regarding
    • Tasked with improving reporting and tracking of AME segment Tableau

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of professional experience in Sales, Operations or Supply Chain
    • Cross functional experience with Sales, Operations, BU and/or Finance departments
    • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
    • Experience using Tableau and strong Microsoft XL skill set
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all business and sales stakeholders
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    PREFERRED:

    • Preferred work location is Milpitas, but also manageable from Irvine
    • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
    • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
