ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Trade Compliance Project Manager (Exports) will be responsible for implementing trade compliance projects that would reduce trade compliance risks to Western Digital.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
BS/BA degree, graduate degree preferred
5+ years of trade compliance work experience (US and Global), preferably in high tech companies
Strong working knowledge of EAR (Classification, CCL Category 5, Sanctions, MEU, SNAP-R, OFAC, CBP, AES/ACE, BIS annual/biannual ENC reporting
Solid ERP experience (Oracle GTM preferred)
Rich project management experience in trade compliance
Tech savvy and comfortable dealing with systems and utilizing technology to address compliance needs
Experience with data analytics, reporting, trade KPI metrics
Understand and can apply import and export regulations to configuring systems and processes
Knowledge of trade compliance requirements/export and import regulations of countries other than U.S. (Russia, China, HK, EU, IL, India etc.)
Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
Flexible, hardworking team player and motivator with strong people skills
Resilient and able to quickly adjust priorities to meet business needs
Attention to detail, critical thinking, excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Nimble learner and quick to learn new and different technologies and stay abreast of emerging technologies
Experience working with engineering and R&D teams
Ability to make good decisions based on sound judgement
Able to work independently with little supervision
Skilled in MS Office suite of products (including MS Teams), Smartsheet, GTM, productivity and collaboration applications, Jive, Box, Webex, Jabber
