    Job Description

    As a Sr. Wafer Fab Tool install Engineer, Project coordinator for WD’s Wafer Facilities engineering team at the Great Oaks high-tech Manufacturing and R&D Campus, in San Jose, CA, you will provide technical leadership and guidance for design and installation of a wide variety of semiconductor tools.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate Design and installation of Wafer Manufacturing tools in Class 100 Cleanroom
    • Develop detailed ROM estimate & schedule for the project
    • Prepare Design and Construction RFPs
    • Select most competent and lowest cost designers and contractors
    • Develop Microsoft Project schedule  
    • Organize and conduct project meetings for critical activities
    • Develop Critical task plans for construction scope of work.
    • Coordinate and manage the quality control process for General and MEP construction
    • Assemble project related documents (incoming and outgoing), RFP’s, Transmittals, Delivery tickets, Unit Summary Sheets, Bid Spreads, Material takeoffs, and any other applicable document.
    • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
    • Insuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
    • Responsible for extracting and interpreting information from proposals and contracts so that the various departments within the company understand what the scope of work and material is needed for an installation job.
    • Ensure proper installations through accurate reading of plans and documents
    • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines with a high level of organization

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
    • 4 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction or equivalent, in Mission Critical semiconductor type industry, in a cleanroom environment
    • MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD skills.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
    • Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team
    • Capable in coordinating and scheduling MEP activities
    • Aptitude for problem solving
    • Ability to work independently
    • Motivated self-starter
    • Effectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
    • Preconstruction / Equipment Procurement Experience
