    Job Description

    • Responsible for configuring, updating the firmware, and installing SSD devices under test in PCs and Servers,  then executing the tests listed on the test plans, created by the Engineers.
    • Responsible for building and maintaining test PCs or Servers, installing and configuring test software and operating systems, tracking and inventorying the SSD devices under test, and keeping the testing lab in operational condition.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
    • 4+ years of experience in a hardware testing/software testing validation lab.
    • Solid State Drive (SSD) experience is desired.
    • Experience with building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the test equipment, more specifically the PCs and Servers. which are the test beds for the SSD drives.
    • Experience with Windows 10, Windows Server, Ubuntu Linux.
    • Willing to work overtime during the weekdays and weekends when needed.
    • Shift flexibility is desired (the ability to start at different times may be needed).
    • Willing to work in a very large and loud IT-style Server lab environment.
    • Able to lift boxes or equipment weighing up to 25lbs.

    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
    • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws.  You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
    • You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and may be eligible to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs.  RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
