    Job Description

    Western Digital is seeking a Talent Acquisition Technology Specialist to join the Global TA Operations team in the Talent Acquisition organization.  The Talent Acquisition Technology Specialist will be responsible for accelerating our global technology strategy for TA systems and tools.  The ideal candidate will work closely with TA leadership in building and maintaining our TA technology roadmap, including the optimization of current systems and tools, as well as the evaluation of new technology that drives better business value.  This role will lead the effort in enabling TA technology strategies, which span the full recruitment life cycle, creating scalable solutions that deliver the best employee experience possible.  You will be a trusted member of the People Solutions organization by collaborating effectively alongside cross-functional partners to create recommendations for process and user experience improvements.  In addition, this role will have a heavy project management focus and serve as a strategic consultant to the business. 

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • SmartRecruiters system configuration and concierge support
    • TA liaison to the IT function
    • Work with other TA technology team members on system enhancements and provide guidance as needed
    • Collaborate with the Global TA team to ensure system usage consistency and remain informed of international data and system requirements to ensure compliance
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Deliver training on systems and processes, and collaborate on the creation and distribution of training material to relevant stakeholders
    • Participate as a member of the Global TA team chartered with improving processes and simplifying the manager and employee experience
    • Represent the Global TA Operations team on projects ensuring that self-service functionality and TA system data elements meet the legal and business needs as required
    • Identify project dependencies and opportunities
    • Understand project risks, communicate mitigation strategies, and monitor regularly throughout projects
    • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure all change management implications are addressed
    • Conduct post-mortem analysis to identify improvement opportunities both regionally and globally for application on future projects
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree or 5+ years HR experience, preferably in a high-tech environment
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Practical work experience with Applicant Tracking and HCM systems; Experience with SmartRecruiters preferred
    • Proven project management skills
    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, build consensus and promote the exchange of information among project team members
    • Understands implications of work and makes uses good judgement when making recommendations for solutions
    • Ability to articulate the logic that informs programming decisions to key stakeholders and senior leadership
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
    • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify stakeholder needs and handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
    • Committed to creating an inclusive work environment; Experience working within a global team structure preferred
