    ECOMMERCE MERCHANDISING SPECIALIST

    Western Digital is looking for a strategic and agile ECOMMERCE MERCHANDISING SPECIALIST who can lead and drive our customer engagement.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    You will be joining the Ecommerce team at an exciting time of growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, deadline-driven, detail-oriented individual with a passion for excellence in communication and a dedication to consistently meeting team objectives and goals. Excellent interpersonal skills and a wide-ranging knowledge of .com business strategies, testing strategies, customer journey, product presentation, marketing messaging, customer lifecycle, pricing tools and platforms used. The Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist will lead the development and management of end-to-end planning and execution on our .ecom site. Core responsibilities will include planning, audience segmentation and targeting across global markets for B2C and B2B audiences. This role will report to the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager.

     

    • Execute an assortment plan that supports financial objectives of overall Ecommerce business 
    • Holistically understand the market, consumer insights and data to explore opportunities and deliver category-wise and brand- wise solutions
    • Partner across the organization to plan and manage product merchandising, marketing messaging and brand visual execution on .com site ​
    • Participate in the evolution of .com site by bringing innovative ideas, testing opportunities and spearheading improvements to the site ​
    • Uses the following to drive decision making: data analytics, BU priorities, inventory and seasonal promotions
    • Partner with inventory lead and category manager to ensure NPI’S are ready and set for launch, including messaging, pricing, product page and home page presence​
    • Develop product launch plans which cascade down to campaign and promotional execution ​
    • Consumer obsessed, constantly balancing the art and science of merchandising to find opportunities, elevate the brand and delight our consumer​
    • Deliver best-in-class customer experience on our site and all digital marketing touch points​
    • Develop and manage phase-in/ phase-out strategy, including slow moving products and aging inventory​
    • Conduct monthly sync up sessions to ensure teams and respective stakeholders are aligned​
    • Load weekly promotional pricing for selected brands ​
    • Partner with operations and optimization teams to achieve and exceed ecommerce sales targets
    • Collaborate with category manager to identify and define category growth opportunities and execute ​
    • Work closely with analytics team to review business data and develop improvement action plans​
    • Build relationships with 3rd parties that benefit our brand and provide unique opportunities for .com.
    • Drive awareness, brand value and promotions ​to drive incremental value. ​
    • Request and implement compelling assets from design team and 3rd party partners

    REQUIRED:

    • 3-5 years of experience within ecommerce
    • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Media OR equivalent work experience
    • Experience with marketing automation platforms
    • Strong understanding of customer behavior, journey building and personalization
    • Obsessed with positive customer experiences, content/copy, and accuracy across all customer touch points
    • Comfortable in a data-driven business environment and able to pivot readily based on real-time data
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, able to simultaneously manage multiple projects end-to-end to meet objectives and deadlines with meticulous attention to detail
    • Proven ability to translate data and customer insights into successful engagement strategies
    • Ability to interpret, articulate, and present campaign analytics to various stakeholders
    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
    • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
    • Collaborative and team-focused mindset

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS DETAILS

    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
    • You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs.  RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
