    Job Description

    Principal validation engineer with responsibility for driving functional validation of PCIe/NVMe and other high speed ASIC interfaces with the goal of finding potential hardware issues early.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive functional validation plans for high speed interfaces such as PCIe/NVMe, SAS and DDR
    • Work with outside IP suppliers, internal SOC design and other functional groups in formulating and driving validation strategies to completion.
    • Debug of ASIC and product level hardware issues and work with design and other functional groups in driving resolutions to issues found
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS/MSEE/CE, plus 10+ years of related experience

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in storage protocols such as PCIe/NVMe, SAS, SATA, USB and also memory interfaces such as DDR
    • Experience with host bus analyzers, host emulators/exercisers/traffic generators, Jammers
    • C/C++, Python, Scripting for host emulators
    • Knowledge of hardware stacks related to high speed serial interfaces
    • Ability to interface with different functional groups such as SOC design and firmware
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with people at all levels, a must.
    • Team player, with excellent debugging skills
