    Job Description

    The qualified individual will make significant contributions to the development of world-class solid state flash drives (SSD). The primary responsibility of this engineer is electronic design for SSD products, including PCB layout design and working with multilayer designs with HDI technology. We seek a engineer who has solid PCB layout design knowledge, a creative mind and is motivated to deliver high quality hardware solutions. The intern in this role will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams based in Northern California and Arizona as well as India and South Korea.

    The selected candidate for this role will be expected to work in-person from our Irvine, California office and no relocation assistance will be provided for this role.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Current undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a graduation date between December 2024-June 2025
    • Solid knowledge in electronics design, especially analog circuit and component
    • Experience in using Cadence Allegro is preferred
    • Basic programming skillset in C++, Python
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues
    • Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case in order to employ you at any point in the future (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
