ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Engineer, Hardware Development Engineering, you will join a storage electronics development team working on Hard Disk Drives (HDD) products. This team is responsible for converting technology into products and making sure that the electronics do not gate the shipment of a product. The job role in the team is to ensure that all high-speed Host interfaces (SATA, SAS, PCIe and USB) for any new products will work seamlessly in our customer’s environment and to quickly get to root cause when they do not. The job also requires ensuring that our products meet the industry standards for the appropriate high-speed Host interfaces.
Electronics Integration Engineers have system level knowledge of HDD products and use systematic problem solving to troubleshoot complex problems involving multiple engineering disciplines. You need to be proficient in the use of hardware equipment, including oscilloscopes and bus analyzers. You also need to have a knowledge of debugging Embedded systems and Object Oriented Programming, Excellent teamwork and communication are required as the team works closely with other engineering disciplines and provides clear and concise summaries of complex topics to upper management.
