    Job Description

    As a semiconductor and subsystem packaging electrical engineer, you will work in the Packaging R&D group on modeling and simulation across semiconductor packaging, flash memory product, and host levels. You will contribute to IC package design/layout while meeting appropriate signal and power integrity requirements.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • In this position, you will be responsible for influencing package and product design of ASIC and NAND semiconductor packaging.  
    • You will be responsible for substrate design/layout of multiple products across market segments. 
    • You will need to communicate effectively with substrate layout teams and other stakeholders in the chip/PCB/system teams to arrive at a package design solution which meets electrical requirements.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and  >2 years of relevant industrial experience.
    • Solid knowledge through academic coursework or experience required in Electrical Engineering / Physics.   
    • Background in electromagnetics and electrical circuits covering transmission line theory, circuit design, Maxwell’s equations, frequency/time domain analysis.

    SKILLS:

    • Signal and power integrity fundamentals for IC/package/board design.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with other engineers.

    PREFERRED:

    • 5+ years of Experience
    • Experience with simulation and analysis software such as Ansys AEDT/HFSS, Sigrity, Hyperlynx/Nimbic, CST, ADS, HSPICE.
    • Familiarity with IC package design/layout with exposure to relevant Cadence/Mentor tools.
    • Experience in EMI simulations/measurement.
    • Exposure/experience in high speed interfaces such as DDR/PCIe.
    • Exposure/experience in memory/storage devices.
