    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As a program manager for the Western Digital Consumer Solutions Business Unit this position will manage internal and external teams (ODM, CM, and/or OEM) to develop, certify, and manufacture the product to meet or exceed the expectations of the WDC organization.
    • The WDC team will provide product requirements and guidance throughout the development process with the supplier team during development and manufacturing startup.
    • The Program Manager serves as the leader of the WDC team to manage the internal and supplier teams to develop the products in a manner consistent with WDC’s development requirements and overall quality expectations.

    REQUIRED:

    • A BS degree is required for this position, a MS is preferred. A degree in engineering (EE, ME or a related field) is preferred for this position
    • The candidate must have 10+ years of experience working in an engineering environment with at least 8 years program management experience. Product development experience with consumer products is a plus.
    • The candidate must have outstanding communication skills. Written and spoken language fluency in English is required.
    • This position may require significant travel, including some international travel

    PREFERRED

    • Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure task completion and deadlines are met as required
    • A Project Management Institute certification (PMP) is preferred for this position
    • Ability to present to all level of management / stakeholders on performance metrics
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Written and spoken language fluency in Mandarin is desired.
