  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Responsible for read head FA of volume products and new products in read head instability root cause understanding

    • Interface with HDD FA team and HDD read write integration team to understand read head instability failure modes. 

    • Closely collaborate with read head design and process teams through FA and data analysis for read head stability and reliability improvement

    • Closely interact with read head reliability test team in FA feedback for developing and optimizing reliability validation tests

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED: 

    • PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields

    • Good communication and technical presentation skills

    • Proficient in statistical analysis; ability to automate analysis through scripts (C/C++, Python, MATLAB).  Experience with quasi-static test (QST), dynamic electrical test (DET), or drive test is plus

    SKILLS

    • Team oriented with ability to interface with technical experts in a matrix environment

    • Goal oriented with strong leadership in project management.
