ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPNSIBILITES

With the greatest growth in the cHDD market segment, the Applications team for Smart Video Recording (SVR) needs ambitious qualified individuals that are eager to commit to learning and working with the latest applications for surveillance recording. These individuals will be key for Western Digital to learn the newest technologies and system capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence, environmentally triggered recording and other recording possibilities that are being developed and launched by strategic surveillance customers around the world.

The SVR applications team is an internal Western Digital team that is focused on these specific customers and their applications worldwide and work directly with multiple Engineering teams to identify opportunities for performance enablers for these current and future technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and capture SATA bus traces on end user systems.
• Ability to analyze and understand the workload and application of the end user systems.
  • Analysis process is visually intense due to processing tools required
• Optimize the performance and functionality of the Western Digital device in the end user application.
• Support system setup, testing, failure analysis and debugging in multiple market segments.
• Participate in communications with internal teams as well as external including customers.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in relevant field.
• Previous FW knowledge needed

SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Be able to work under pressure for quick resolution and delivery
• Able to work in a team or independently.
