    Job Description Design and implement firmware used to self servo write the company’s disk drive products Validate drive hardware platform used to perform self servo-write function, including SoC, power driver, motor, and mechanics Support the integration of various functionalities to achieve the targeted servo write yield, quality and cycle time Design and develop Object Oriented self servo write test process and infrastructures to facilitate remote failure analysis Work with servo engineers to develop servo metrics for data collection and statistical analysis Contribute and adhere to formally developed Firmware/Software Development Process and Procedures Act as a role model to others by sharing ideas, solutions, and information with the test development team, and serve as a mentor for junior engineers

  • Qualifications

    Additional Information Qualifications: MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in developing real-time embedded firmware or software Real-time development background in C/C++ (object oriented design experience is a strong plus) Experience with ARM processors, RTOS, Assembly, and Lua are a plus Ability to use firmware debug tools and lab equipment to design and troubleshoot, as well as some MATLAB knowledge is essential Experience with Control Systems, Hardware Design, or Digital Signal Processing is preferred Good teamwork, strong analytical and communication skills, and an Agile / Lean mindset are important
