  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Design new transmission systems and components for high data-rate systems
      • Transceiver design
      • Transmission compensation
        • Interconnect
        • Electronic compensation
    • Characterization of transmission systems
      • Frequency-domain characterization and modeling such as s-parameters (differential and single-ended), and crosstalk
      • Time-domain characterization (GHz) eye-diagrams, and signal-processing measurements
      • Knowledge of characterization of read and write transducers
      • BER studies of different front-end configures
    • EMC measurements and 3D analysis of Storage devices
    • Power Integrity analysis experience.
    • Provided education to product group(s) on new transmission systems and EMC topics
    • High level of proficiency using oscilloscopes, waveform generators, Matlab, and RF circuit simulators
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Education:, BS with 10+ yrs experience, MS with 8+ yrs experience, or PhD with 6+ yrs experience.

    PREFERRED:

    • Worked with product groups to ensure that specification requirements are correct for the system.
    • Application support experience for the product development group(s) on SI systems
    • High level of proficiency using oscilloscopes, waveform generators, Matlab or other (e.g. tlc)

    SKILLS:

    • Modeling software: ADS, CST, PowerSI, Sigrity
