  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    As an experienced engineer, you will:

    • Collaborate with various technical experts to continuously improve the HDD manufacturing test release validation process
    • Establish strong working relationships with partner teams across the organization to define, monitor and refine HDD manufacturing test continuous integration practices
      • Participate in manufacturing CI issue debug/triage
      • Interlock with various cross-organizational & sub-system teams to define needed improvements for manufacturing test CI process and drive their implementation
    • Represent HDD DI Team in SAFe Solution meetings and PI planning discussions
      • Act as a point of contact between the FW Development Community and the DI team
    • Educate/Promote Agile best practices throughout the worldwide Drive Integration team
      • Create new, or modify existing, HDD DI practices or processes to align with the SAFe framework

       

    • Define methods to automate repetitive, manual tasks that exist in current business process
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • BS (10+ years) or MS/PhD (8+ years) CE, CS or EE or direct relevant experience
    • Knowledge of HDD operation and HDD manufacturing
    • Familiar with SAFe Agile development (Continuous integration, Automated testing, User Stories, etc.)
    • Strong influencer with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (Engineers and/or Executives) via written, verbal and presentation formats
    • Experience working cross-functionality and cross-organizationally to align dependencies and deliverables
    • Ability to take initiative and apply critical thinking techniques & trouble shooting skills to analyze problems, develop solutions or manage risk
    • Strong sense of ownership with ability to organize and facilitate team meetings and initiatives to effectively develop plans and achieve goals
    • Experience using Confluence & Jira as well as with data extraction, data analysis & statistics
