Job Description

• Taking lead on carbon overcoat process development for heat assistant recording media. Work closely with program and interface team to understand and fulfill specific requirements of media overcoat design.
• Develop new material and deposition process for next generation overcoat design to meet long term media roadmap.  
• Support overcoat process of multiple NPI tools. Troubleshoot and provide solution in timely manner. 
• Develop metrologies of overcoat film thickness, property and improve procedure for production monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ultra-thin film technology, hands on experience on plasma process as PE CVD, magnetron sputter and ion beam etch process.
• Knowledge to evaluate nanoscale film thickness, uniformity, film property with metrological tools like XRR, XPS, Ellipsometer, Raman spectrometer, SEM and TEM.
• Self-motivated, team oriented, good verbal and written communication skills.
• MS or PhD in Physics, EE, ME, Materials Science or related disciplines.
