    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated NPI Procurement team member, where you will be responsible to lead and drive procurement activities for a portfolio of new products within our Data Center Systems (DCS) business unit, while being a trusted adviser and partner to the business, applying consistent guidelines for compliance, and managing risk and business ethics.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Actively participate in the development of new DCS products to ensure appropriate and timely material release, Contract Manufacturer (CM) supplier establishment and inventory systems to support timely launches.
    • Provides expansive thought leadership and collaborates with cross-functional teams ensuring new products meet cost, quality, functionality, schedule, product launch and production objectives
    • Ensure programs have the appropriate resiliency to prevent delays due to issues within the Supply Chain
    • Provide guidance to CM’s suppliers during the development phase including Prototypes and final designs, schedules and cost targets
    • Works closely with senior stakeholders to align on product sourcing plan and cost objectives
    • Manage all component and/or tooling changes throughout development while minimizing any impact to development milestones.
    • Works directly with multi-function teams and suppliers to address issues that may impact schedule and supply
    • Oversee program development expenditures (includes tooling & components)
    • Participates in the development of strategic goals and objectives enabling the Procurement department to meet overall corporate goals.
    • Attends and participates in various program related meetings, Program Cost Reviews, etc. as representative from Procurement
    • Interface with Sourcing Team and Factory Purchasing, during product transfer, to ensure a smooth hand-off of material requirements
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • 5+ years of related experience with deep understanding of best-in-class procurement business practices.
    • Recent background (3-5 years) managing CM’s and related advanced electronics and mechanical components
    • Demonstrated “hands on” leader with an eagerness to contribute and deliver results
    • Highly collaborative by nature; transparent and open-minded
    • Proven data driven problem-solver with a tendency to be practical and innovative
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Experience with Oracle ERP/MRP systems, with emphasis on Development, Production, and Planning, required.
