    Job Description

The ideal candidate is an individual that is detail-oriented, has deep tax technical knowledge in ASC 740 and U.S. taxation, combined with hands-on practical experience of handling the income tax provision process and wants to continue to learn and develop in their role.

    Income Tax Accounting Manager will be responsible primarily for assisting with the global income tax provision process. Additional responsibilities include assisting with certain aspects of the international portion of the U.S. income tax compliance process.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and maintain the calculation of the foreign income tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis including deferred accounting, payable accounting, tax account roll-forwards, indefinite reinvestment assertion, valuation allowance analysis
    • Determine tax reserves (FIN 48 & FAS 5) and related disclosures, including monitoring the tax environment to ensure that the tax reserves are reasonable
    • Provide assistance with the tax department to ensure compliance with the requirements of Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley
    • Assist with review, analysis, research and resolution of international tax issues
    • Assist in certain areas of U.S. income tax compliance
    • Keep up to date with tax legislation, SEC Regulations, and GAAP changes, practice and global developments
    • Collaborate with tax compliance, tax controversy and transfer pricing teams in connection with the above responsibilities
    • Supervises and develops tax department staff
    • Build and foster strong cross-functional relationships within and outside of the tax department
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • CPA license required.  MST or MBT (Master of Science in Taxation or Master in Business Taxation) degree preferred, but not required
    • Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of combined tax experience which includes some mix of experience in a major CPA firm and in a corporate tax department
    • Minimum of 5 years of international tax experience
    • Experience and proficiency in U.S. GAAP accounting for taxes and internal controls
    • Understanding of core international tax concepts including income sourcing, expense apportionment & allocation, E&P, foreign tax credit, GILTI, FDII, Section 956, and Subpart F
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
    • Ability to adapt and get things done in a complex and fast-based environment
    • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision a plus
