Co-Op (July 23 - Dec 23), Software Engineering (SIT)
Job Description
The Western Digital System Integration Test Lab, located in Rochester, MN, is seeking a Software Engineering Co-Op to join our team from July 2023 through December 2023. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in OOP software development concepts and an interest in automation and storage device validation testing.
Responsibilities:
Primary coding language: Python
✅ Design, implement, document, and validate test automation framework improvements, test scripts, and bug fixes
✅ Configure and debug enterprise servers, including storage device installation, OS setup, and network configuration
✅ Actively participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand Up, Iteration Planning/Retrospective/Review, and Program Increment Planning/Retrospective
✅ Participate in feature demonstrations to end users and management
Qualifications
✅ Students pursuing a BS/BA degree majoring in CS, CE, EE, or a related major
✅ Experience utilizing object-oriented design concepts in projects or coursework
✅ Familiarity with Linux-based systems via command line
✅ Solid communication skills
✅ Passion for problem-solving and learning new things
