Job Description
The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the Company’s SEC filings and accounting related to debt, equity, and other select technical accounting areas. Manager will oversee several staff or interns who will contribute to the preparation of the financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and other areas of the Company’s periodic filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. Additionally, the SEC Reporting Manager will need to understand the business and be aligned with business changes to ensure proper accounting and disclosure. The role is expected to effectively interact with the functional teams and external auditors. Current knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, SOX and COSO is critical for success. This position will report to the Director SEC Reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent required
5 years of relevant experience in the high-tech industry; Big 4 public accounting experience desired
Thorough understanding of SEC reporting/earnings release process
High degree of familiarity with Forms 10-Q and 10-K (including related SEC rules, regulations, and interpretations), FASB disclosure requirements, and XBRL
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well on teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organization and attention to detail
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to adapt, effectively prioritize, and execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Experience with Wdesk a plus
