    Job Description

    This position as a memory characterization will support Western Digital Memory I/O Roadmap and design/device organizations on design validation pertaining to all aspects of Memory I/O interface which is a DDR interface to ensure specifications are met and and ensure product ramp is on schedule.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    •  Responsible for all aspects of test development, silicon debug, design validation, test correlation, program revision control and tester/handler setup.
    • With the I/O speed scaling rapidly generation over generation this job requires familiarity of ATE memory testers such as Teradyne Magnum / Advantest Aspen and proficiency of hardware architecture and test development to bring up new test HW. 
    • Maintain database of statistical data collection, analysis and prepare characterization report. Perform characterization across process, operating voltage and temperature.
    • Extended responsibility may include Product and Test engineering support for solving production yield issues, design debug activity and failure analysis. Validate test screens as necessary
    • Define and track test plans through multiple stages of memory development cycles, from 1st silicon through internal qualification to mass production. 
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skill set to drive multiple projects with global characterizatin team, each with different design targets, in tight schedule and across multiple geographies.

    REQUIRED:

    • Requires 5+ years of characterization experience preferably in DRAM/LPDRAM/NAND Flash or similar type of memory.
    • Testing/characterization experience related to I/O interface even on different application specific chip is preferred but not a must.  
    • Capability to bring up new accurate ATE and hardware working with vendors to match increasing I/O speeds .
    • Strong skills of test program development on ATE, programming Language like C++/C#, Python, Pearl script. 
    • Knowledge of I/O protocol like DDR/LPDDR/ONFI or other standard interface.
    • Require familiarity with common lab equipment such digital scope, logic analyzer, V/I sources.
    • Require good written and verbal English and good communication skills.
    • The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
