Job Description
· Creates forward looking strategy for benefits plans and programs.
· Scales and streamlines the administration of all types of benefits plans and programs to ensure efficient operations while keeping the employees’ experience front and center.
· Develops, maintains, and scales US and Americas benefits strategies while providing benefits that meet diverse employees’ need based on local regulations, company culture, and business requirements.
· Regularly assesses benefits offerings with senior management to balance market competitiveness and budget spending.
· Provides leadership and partners with external benefits vendors (i.e. brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, record-keepers, trustee etc.) and legal counsel to ensure that WD benefits plans are compliant with all federal and local government regulations.
· Implement a communications strategy to ensure programs are understood and effectively utilized by employees.
· Develops communication tools and documents, to enhance understanding of the Company’s benefit plans and programs.
· Organize, create, and maintain standard operating procedures, including system and process documentation.
· Develops and manages cost-effective ways to attain and administer benefit programs in globally consistent and locally relevant ways.
· Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
· Stay abreast of market trends, industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure competitiveness and innovation in benefits offerings with feasible improvements.
Qualifications
· Proven track records, influential leadership across the organization and relationship building skills with stakeholders.
· Ability to work with other areas such as HR Business Partners, Finance, Communications, HR Shared Services and communicate in concise way.
· Demonstrated flexibility and efficient time management with the ability to prioritize workload to operate in a face-paced environment with competing priorities.
· Knowledge of integrating benefits technology solutions with IT, HRIS, payroll, vendors, and insurance carriers. Workday experience preferred.
· Experience in design and implementation of benefits programs across multiple geographies is plus.
· Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
· Minimum eight (8) plus years of experience in benefits plan design with a focus on building and managing business aligned benefit programs; preferably gained while working for a global, complex matrixed organization or equivalent.
