    Job Description

    As a member of the Channel Business Intelligence team, you will transform the way the global channel business, sales, and marketing teams interact with and use data to grow demand and improve productivity. You will start in Tableau and move into integration with other productivity and business management tools ranging from Salesforce to web to ModelN and many others. By combining your expertise in building a comprehensive end-to-end user experience with your business acumen and strength in understanding the core questions being asked, and technical ability to design, display, and integrate the data in a way that will surface answers, you will lead hundreds of people along a clear and seamless path from identification of an opportunity to capitalizing on that opportunity.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and create the vision and roadmap for the business intelligence user experience that is used by hundreds of people across various roles and responsibilities to manage and run the distribution business
    • Start by improving existing business reporting (primarily in Tableau), creating and developing structure and consistency based on UI/UX and data visualization best practices
    • Develop new, best-in-class, Tableau models that will guide business from question to answer in an intuitive and visually appealing way
    • Expand integration of intelligence beyond Tableau into Salesforce, web, and various other systems and tools that are, or can be, part of the user experience in managing and running the business
    • Manage large, cross functional projects focused on end-to-end identification and execution of opportunities to improve team efficiency and customer/business growth
    • Work closely with global business and sales teams to understand areas of need, create requirements, and develop a unified go-forward solution that all parties will adopt
    • Drive global adoption of the toolset by demonstrating the positive impact to all levels of the organization and seamlessly integrating into workflow
    • Use SQL and data management tools to understand and edit data models in order to help data team proactively identify data quality issues and abnormalities
    • Remain plugged into industry standards and best practices to continually evolve and improve user experience and reporting
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Undergraduate degree from a top university required; graduate degree preferred
    • 5+ years of experience in visual or UI/UX design and development (including business intelligence, computer sciences, human computer interaction, social science, web programming) and project management with focus on business management
    • Expertise and proven ability to manage and develop user experience and interface within a large ecosystem of toolsets
    • High proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, etc
    • Strong business acumen with an ability to draw connections between business objectives and data analysis
    • Excellent project management with track record of managing large, cross functional projects
    • Experience using front-end languages and frameworks like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Ability to quickly shift between business discussion at the executive level and detailed technical understanding and capability
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
