    Job Description

    The Wafer Line Logistics Specialist role is to serve as a leader within all photo metrology operations within manufacturing.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Optimize productivity output on photo and metrology processes.
    • Handle/coordinate precise timing and actions to sustain continuous output
    • Function as liaison between Logistics Manager on priorities
    • Relay critical information to on duty line manager
    • Generate plans of action and its drive resolution with cross-functional activities involving manufacturing, engineering, equipment, and maintenance.

    The Wafer Line Logistics Specialist must ensure the consistent production of high-quality wafers.   

    • Monitoring the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process and for helping to identify processing issues affecting output or product quality.

    The Wafer Line Logistics Specialist is also responsible for the cycletime within their area and must resolve any WIP that is delayed or on hold.

    • Stay directly involved in the resolution of tooling or processing issues and may recommend, document and implement changes at the direction of the appropriate engineering group.

     

    The Wafer Line Logistics Specialist also play a vital role in the training and certification of lower level operators. 

    With strong performance and delivered results, position is a training ground for future Production Line Manager.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Associates degree in either of the following:

      • Engineering       

      • Industrial Engineering

      • Data Analysis or Statistics

      • Chemistry or Physics

      • Or 5-10+ years of industry experience

    • In-depth knowledge of wafer manufacturing processes and logistics

    • Knowledge of SPC systems, applications, and rules 

    • Knowledge of MESA or similar Shop floor Control Systems 

    • Able to extract, summarize, interpret, and present process data

    • Able to apply process data to decision making 

    • Provide training and guidance to lower level techs and operators 

    • Familiar with QMF, Jump or similar query management applications

    • Some familiarity with Project Management applications 

    • History of problem solving; able to drive problems to resolution 

    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
