    Job Description

    Western Digital’s Logistics and Fulfillment team is a leading global organization committed to excellence in supply chain logistics and customer fulfillment, driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability across our global operations supporting both HDD and Flash memory product portfolios. We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Executive Chief of Staff to join our team.

    The Executive Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice President of Supply Chain Global Logistics and Fulfillment by providing strategic, operational, and administrative support. This individual will act as a key advisor to help define Organizational strategy including both short-term and long-term goals and roadmap. Individual will also ensure alignment of departmental goals, facilitate communication, and drive key initiatives to achieve organizational objectives across a large global organization.

    This role reports directly to the Vice President of Global Logistics and Fulfillment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Planning & Execution: * Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and operational plans for the Supply Chain Logistics and Fulfillment function. * Monitor progress against strategic goals and provide regular updates to the VP of Supply Chain Logistics.
    2. Stakeholder Engagement: * Facilitate communication and collaboration across various departments, ensuring alignment with supply chain logistics strategies. * Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
    3. Operational Excellence: * Own and manage the Management Operating System for the function to include operational reviews, talent reviews, and initiative reviews. * Work with staff to Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the supply chain logistics function and build portfolio of projects and initiatives. * Analyze data and metrics to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    4. Project Management: * Lead and manage cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. * Coordinate with project teams to establish goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
    5. Financial Management: * Assist in budget planning, monitoring, and financial analysis for the Supply Chain Logistics function. * Ensure cost-effective operations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    6. Leadership & Team Development: * Provide leadership and mentorship to the supply chain logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. * Support talent development initiatives, including training, performance evaluations, and succession planning. * Support change management within the Logistics and Fulfillment function for organizational and strategy changes.
    7. Communications: * Assist in developing Executive communications for key Executive stakeholders internal and external to WD.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain function, with a proven track record in a leadership or executive support role.
    • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proven track record of developing effective executive level communications content.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
