    POSITION PURPOSE

    Provide leadership and supervision to office and production work teams and serve as the link to plant management. Facilitate team meetings, intervene as necessary to keep the team’s goals and results consistent with company direction, and work with the team members to develop their full potential. Mgr. Production Control III, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for material and finished goods inventory levels, product quality, product quantity, team member safety, and department housekeeping.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Manage office personnel and assist others to meet and exceed production goals.
    • Schedule all machines to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
    • Order board and maintain board list to ensure type and quantity of board is available.
    • Oversee scheduling. Adjust as needed due to material handling issues, maintenance and production issues and keeping customer’s informed if it does not meet their expectations.
    • Communicate with customers to maintain and develop relationships.
    • Maintain customer information, including creating new customers as needed.
    • Maintain item information, including creating new items and prices changes as needed.
    • Maintain min/max quantities to create jobs as needed.
    • Provide month end reports to Finance Manager as required. (i.e. Board & Finished Goods Inventories)
    • Help team achieve goals and responsible for personnel issues, including required discipline.
    • Encourage and lead team members to work in a safe manner and to seek improvement in work practices.
    • Assure that the team maintains quality standards.
    • Aid the team in problem resolution and assure that testing and product development is carried out in a professional manner.
    • Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
    • Responsible for his/her individual performance.
    • Share an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

    • Frequent/strenuous physical effort (lifting, moving heavy objects, etc.) required.
    • Must be able to push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds.
    • Frequently exposed to conditions involving noise, fumes, and hazardous chemicals.
    • Flexibility to work any shift: Monday – Thursday Days 5:30am – 3:30pm, Nights 3:30pm, to 1:30am, Weekends Friday – Sunday 5:30am -5:300pm
    • Must be able to work overtime as required.
    • Required PPE: Steel Toe Shoes/Safety Glasses/Ear Protection/Gloves

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience, advanced degree preferred
    • Inventory & Material Management
    • Leadership experience and/or attributes, including the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. (Experience with QuickBooks a plus)
    • Paperboard packaging experience preferred
    • Purchasing experience preferred
