  • Responsibilities

    WR Systems, Ltd. has a need for a Technical Lab Manager who will provide a wide range of technical services in support of a “Hardware Engineering Support” project for Ship Self-Defense Systems (SSDS) at NSWC Dahlgren, Dam Neck Activity.

     

     

    Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Evaluates components, assemblies, and test equipment with Quality Assurance (QA) tools to ensure compliance with requirements.
    • Supports product integration and ensure work is performed in accordance with industry best practices and Navy requirements.
    • Maintains configuration management practices across variant systems.
    • Provides scheduling and installation support as necessary to effect modification, change or implementation of required engineering changes to systems and equipment.

     

     

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:    

    • Eight (8)+ years of progressive experience performing work in support of production, integration, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of systems/equipment.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or graduate of military schools which provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation.
    • Must have working knowledge of Navy SSDS / KVM shipboard equipment.
    • Must possess good communications skills, ability to perform multiple tasks, self-management skills, decision making skills, travel and work independently and be team-orientated.
    • Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel experience.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

     

     

    ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

  • Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of MRO Purchasing experience
    • Basic knowledge of MRO materials
    • Computer literacy – Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office and ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the SSI systems, or other Client systems.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; solid basic math skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
