Function Overview We currently have an opening for an Electronics System Integration Engineer located in Benton Harbor, MI. In this role, you will perform activities related to the project scoping of electronics requirements definitions, architecture definition, project schedule, and systems integration for Refrigeration Technologies. The goal of the position is to assure that the electronics solutions will be delivered on time, on cost and on quality, according to the project targets. You will be working with electronics subsystems: Hardware and Software, Project Managers, Manufacturing, Procurement and Quality teams. Job Responsibilities - Integrate Electronics solutions for new refrigeration products - System level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for electronics projects - Lead technical design reviews for electronics projects - Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets - Drive system validation during concept, design and product validation stages - Drive electronics requirements and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance Minimum Requirements - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Electronics - 3+ years work experience System Integration Engineering & Technical Design Experience - 1+ years work experience with electronics: Hardware, Software, components, wiring, system integration and design - 1+ years work experience with project management and execution: schedule, resources management, cost management, quality management and technical integration events - 1+ years work experience with electronics products manufacturing process Preferred Requirements - Proactiveness, good communication skills and have a hands-on tactical approach - Proficient in requirements management - Experience with problem-solving processes and tools - Proficient in FMEA - Experience with project risk management process - Proficient in system verification and validation processes and tools - Experience working with cross-functional teams and technical team coordination - About Us Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) is the worlds leading major home appliance company, with approximately $21 billion in annual sales, 92,000 employees and 70 manufacturing and technology research centers in 2017.
