Occupational Health Nurse (RN), Whirlpool Findlay Operations Apply now -Date:Apr 6, 2018 Location:Findlay, OH, US, 45840 Company:Whirlpool Corporation Today, you may be providing first aid or referring employees to a wellness program, tomorrow you may be providing hearing testing. Your job responsibilities will require you to provide prompt, appropriate clinical care to all employees in conformance with company policies, clinical protocols, state regulations and ethical standards. This includes worksite injury/illness triage, treatment coordination with the Wellness Center, and referral to specialists as necessary. Other duties include - Documenting all clinical care in appropriate medical format in the provided electronic medical record, recording of vital signs, audiograms, urine collection, blood collection, respirator fit testing, injections and basic first aid. Functional Overview: You will support the employers Workers Compensation Program including providing case management for all employee work-related injuries and/or illnesses for the purposes of reducing illness and absenteeism. Coordinate and manage compliance with a clients pre-placement, OSHA mandated and non-mandated surveillance programs such as drug screening, HazMat, respiratory protection, and hearing conservation programs, and provide appropriate follow-up communication with the employee. Requirements: -BSN or Registered Nurse -Minimum three years occupational health or other related nursing experience (emergency/urgent care, acute care, family medicine, community health). -Analytical ability necessary to evaluate and determine health status of patient and implement proper care. -Interpersonal skills necessary to teach and counsel patients as well as interact with clients/employers and insurance company representatives. -The ability to work collaboratively with the sites leadership and safety team is essential. -A comprehensive understanding of the patient care procedures, medical protocols, and testing procedures necessary to support an Occupational Health clinic. -Computer skills in EMR, word processing and database software programs. -Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am Monday- Friday) Preferred Requirement Experience in specialty equipment as indicated, including: -Breath Alcohol Tester -Audiometer Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) is the number one major appliance manufacturer in the world, with approximately $21 billion in annual sales, 97,000 employees and 70 manufacturing and technology research centers.
