  • Responsibilities
    • Provide leadership and direction for overall business unit financial results and effective customer experience.

    • Works in full collaboration across the different departments of Invacare to ensure a One Invacare mindset and way of working.

    • Works in full collaboration with the Global Marketing organization, namely the global category teams shaping BU short-, mid- and long-term strategy in full alignment with Invacare’s overall strategic intents.

    • Effective management of key elements of the BU such as revenue, business mix, marketing plan, sales strategy, and product portfolio, ensuring a culture of high performance and success.

    • Define and execute annual and long-term revenue strategies across business segments to achieve corporate revenue/profit goals.

    • Actively collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure effective SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan) with excellence in forecast accuracy and full leverage of our manufacturing and supply chain capabilities

    • Identify and acquire new customers that fit the strategy for growth in each business segment.

    • Develop and implement the short-term operating plan and mid- to long-term strategic plan, including channel strategy and sales development.

    • Lead strategic market assessments including market environments, consumer and group markets, and competitive intelligence, forecasting market trends, and cost structure information in full collaboration with the global marketing team

    • Ensure alignment with strategies for specific, targeted segments within a market.

    • Effectively promote the value, benefits and characteristics of Invacare solutions to current and prospective customers and consumers as well as other stakeholders.

    • Strategically partner with Marketing Communications team to develop advertising, marketing communications, brand and public relations strategies that support overall corporate goals, and sales objectives

    • Strategically partners with Global Marketing to develop and/or enhance of new products and solutions.

    • Identify or create ideas for alliances and acquisitions; and to manage portfolio of product categories

    • Oversee the preparation of monthly sales forecasts and ensure forecst accuracy.

    • Ensure that all required training is identified for and completed by all direct reports.

    • Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.

    • Provide leadership, direction, and management of team via coaching, mentoring and accountability.

    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree preferred
    • Ten + years experience managing business results with direct and influence over sales, marketing, engineering, operations, etc.
    • Ability to develop a strategic sales plan in conjunction with the overall strategic plan. Proven ability to generate strategic thinking from sales and marketing staffs and instill ability to carry out tactics associated with the plan.
    • Successful track record of sales planning and execution
    • Entrepreneurial by nature with strong business acumen and desire for success
    • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement both in sales, marketing and as part of a management team.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and management skills

    • Serve as the go between for the customer, sales and production to make sure we are meeting the client’s production expectations of business already sold, allowing the Sales representatives to focus on selling activities.
    • First line of response and resolution to customer inquiries regarding current and future work. 
    • Regular and timely communication to your sales team informing them of customer project status, issues, and modifications.
    • Develop and prepare sales product presentations to up-sell an opportunity or secure new business opportunities.
    • A multi-tasking success story. You will bounce from competing tasks that are all equally important
    • You will be a strong resource for knowledge of industry trends , new products, specifications, competitor strengths and weaknesses and communication of new information to Sales Representatives.
