POSITION FOCUS:

This position will be responsible for low level software development of embedded Linux systems for Automotive. This engineer will have strong experience on embedded board bring up and validation of hardware from a software perspective Implementing SecureBoot, Uboot, Kernel configuration, hypervisor, device drivers, secure file systems and other security measures Experience with optimizing systems/software for using minimal flash and RAM while maintaining reliable and feature rich applications Experience using hardware bringup tools such as JTag and logic analyzers Working in conjunction with the global Lear connectivity engineering team, this position will develop a deep understanding of Lear's connectivity solutions and implement them This position will bring up and develop software and drivers for various technologies such as Linux, virtualization, V2X, Cellular, WIFI, GNSS, & BLE technologies This engineer will work with the Global connectivity team to develop platforms, architectures and solutions that can be used as reference implementations for customer programs

EDUCATION:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

5-7 Years in Engineering

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Linux Operating System with networking background
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies and integrate them
• Strong communication, Interpersonal and orgarnzat1onal skills
• Experience with automotive ECU and System development
• Experience with other RTOS and m1grat1on to Linux

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the Global Connectivity engineering and architecture teams
• Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application on Connectivity technology
• Bring up connectivity hardware platforms with boot loader and Operating
• System
• Develop Device Drivers, SecureBoot, Linux kernel, hypervisor, secure filesystem, etc. for connectivity
• Deep understanding of technology to optimize embedded software for cybersecurity and resource opt
• Collaborate with suppliers and Global Lear teams to develop and implement embedded linux solutions
• Contribute to Detailed design, Implementation, Verification (unit testing, integration testing, system te􀀂

Required Skills Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Must have the physical ability to travel overseas
• Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and be able to lift and carry materials and tools in excess of 25 lbs
• Must be familiar with the requirements outlined by ASHRAE, ISA (111), OSHA, NFPA 70 (E), NEMA, OSHA and other safety regulations

AND

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university; AND a minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design, renovation, or HVAC/BAS maintenance;

OR

• A Master’s HVAC license; AND 7 years’ experience in mechanical design, renovation, or HVAC/BAS maintenance.
