  • Responsibilities

     

    The Configuration Management Specialist II shall have basic experience in configuration management processes, process development, problem solving, data analysis and data entry and reporting, and is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Analyze requirements, comply with established procedures and policies and generate reports.
    • Develop agendas, record and publish minutes, and provide changes for review and project status.
    • Provide support to engineers for comment adjudication.
    • Use approved software tools to record status changes.
    • Support the development and delivery of Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to clearly communicate problems, recommendations, project plans, and status.
    • Work independently or as part of a team to meet timelines and achieve results.
    • Attend high level meetings; record meeting minutes, provide feedback, inputs for scheduling.
    • Control data input for ASM; update and revise program requirements for all CIAT and RCT sites, input all new equipment parts for CIAT, perform ASM audits based off input from the CIAT community, update and revise all equipment data collected in HW audits.
    • Hardware Audits, perform hands on physical inspections of all CIAT and RCT sites, record all part numbers and serial numbers down to the Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU).
    • Miscellaneous; assist and perform tasking directed by the Sites Planning Agent (SPA), compose, edit and review of technical documentation provided by CIAT community, assist all engineering personnel with in the CIAT community by providing CM details to include location, part numbers, serial numbers and any other pertinent tracking information, assist with receipt and inventory of procurement items.

    Required Skills

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    • Associates degree (preferred) or equivalent and 2 years related experience

    • Have or be able to attain a DOD security clearance

     

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

     

    • Ability to support the development of SRDs, CIDs and TDPs
    • Support the development and implementation of Configuration Items (CIs) through a change control board and/or Engineering Working Group (EWG)

     

    Physical Requirements:

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and consistent with equipment laboratories and professional offices.

    Additional Qualifying Factors:

     

    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required.
