    Finance Intern - Date: Aug 3, 2018 Location: Columbus, OH, US, 43085 Company: Worthington Industries, Inc Summary Worthington Industries is looking for a Finance intern to work on the corporate financial reporting team. This itnern would work closely with the entire finacial reporting team on daily responsibilities as well as department projects. The ideal candidate woudl be able to work 20-24 hours per week during the school year. Responsibilities - Assisting with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation by rolling forward the respective documents, helping to prepare certain footnotes, obtaining and summarizing required disclosure information, and tie-out of the quarterly and annual financial statements including footnotes and MD&A - Complete ad hoc projects such as identifying account fluctuations from period to period, completing account drill downs, and ad hoc reporting within Tagetik (i.e., pulling information from the general ledger database) - Complete census data requests from the U.S. Census Bureau - Facilitating timely completion of the auditor request list (i.e., PBC list) by monitoring status and sending out reminder/follow-up emails to the responsible parties Desired Experience Working towards a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) Financial statement analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel) Strong interpersonal skills Solid organization, analytical, and communication skills (verbal and written) Company Information Worthington Industries operates under a long-standing corporate philosophy rooted in the Golden Rule, with earning money for its shareholders as the first corporate goal.
