    Corporate Internal Audit Internship - Date: Oct 10, 2018 Location: Columbus, OH, US, 43085 Company: Worthington Industries, Inc Summary Conducts Sarbanes-Oxley, financial, and operational control testing through execution of audit programs by obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating evidentiary data to form objective conclusions and generate recommendations. Responsibilities - Performs audits by executing test plans as assigned while appropriately challenging work assignments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of work procedures. - Through analysis of process documentation and review of audit evidence, evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identifies root cause of any noted issues, and reports audit findings to Internal Audit department management with recommendations for corrective actions. - Assists in the preparation of written communications such as client correspondence, findings documents, internal audit comment memos, internal policies, etc. - Develops knowledge of the Companys industry, major events within the Company, and general business/economic developments to contribute to the identification of potential impacts to the department and its work. - Demonstrates teamwork through positive attitude, cooperating with management and other staff, sharing information, contributing ideas/opinions, accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate. - Performs other duties as assigned. Desired Experience - Working toward Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business or other related field - Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills - Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic - Self-starter with good project management skills utilized to ensure delivery of multiple tasks within budget and on time - Ability to work well in a team environment - Good customer service orientation with ability to establish professional working relationship with internal/external customers and coworkers. - Strong understanding of accounting and audit concepts with a desire to understand the theory supporting actions - Ability to see how assigned work fits into the larger picture and affects other areas so that issues outside original scope of work may be identified.
