This internship will be from July -December 2018. Essential Functions/ Job Duties Areas of interest include: Computer Vision / Deep Learning / 3D Graphics Programming Navigation / SLAM / 3D Reconstruction Cloud Computing Embedded / Mobile Computing Qualifications Qualifications Students pursuing degrees in Computer Science/Engineering, Robotics, Machine Learning or similar are encouraged to apply Proficient in C++ and Python, Comfortable in Linux Good understanding of CS concepts (data structures & algorithms) Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to independently evaluate state-of-the art research approaches and reduce them to practice Bonus qualifications, depending on project: Experience with Computer Vision techniques, in particular semantic scene understanding, object recognition, structure from motion/visual odometry, feature detection & tracking Experience with Machine Learning / Deep Learning and related frameworks such as Caffe/Tensorflow Experience with Embedded Computing / Mobile Architectures Knowledge of 3D graphics concepts and rendering tools (e.g. OpenGL, Blender) and/or game/simulation engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine, Gazebo) Experience with Cloud Computing, in particular AWS services (e.g. EC2, ECS, Lambda, etc.) and web frameworks/languages (e.g. HTML5/Javascript, Angular, Django, Node, React, etc.) Knowledge of Robotics concepts, such as SLAM, control systems, probabilistic robotics, sensors, kinematics, dynamics, motion planning About Us We are the leading global consumer robot company, designing and building robots that empower people to do more, both inside and outside of the home.
