  • Responsibilities

    MarketCast will be hosting a ten-week Summer Internship Program from Monday June 5th to Thursday, August 10th, 2023. Our Summer Internship program will be held 4 days a week (32 hours a week) following a hybrid work schedule and reporting to our office in New York City, NY. This is a paid opportunity, but we will not be offering compensation packages for housing or relocation. The first week will consist of an immersive bootcamp where you will have the opportunity to learn about who we are, the work we do, and how you’ll be able to add value and grow both personally and professionally. Attendance for the entire week is mandatory as part of your on-boarding training and learning & development.

    WHAT THE SPORTS & LIFESTYLE BRANDS TEAM IS ALL ABOUT:

    On the Sports & Lifestyle Brands Custom Research team, you’ll get the chance to tackle projects for a wide array of iconic global brands and sports franchises. This team’s work is defined by our diverse set of clients and dynamic strategic challenges. On any given day, you may find us working to uncover what drives entrepreneurship around the globe, helping an iconic toy brand innovate for the future, informing global messaging strategies for a luxury car brand, or helping a basketball team understand how to build their brand through cutting-edge, in-arena technology. Just to name a few.

    • Excited to immerse themselves in a wide range of brands and categories.

    • Eager to jump in and learn every stage of the research, insights, and strategy process - from soup to nuts!

    • Ready to hit the ground running. Someone excited by the idea of learning on the job - absorbing and growing in real time. Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn the business

    • Has a strong eye for detail - sweating the small stuff is as important as the big stuff

    • A team player - we are stronger together and we work in groups

    • A creative thinker - if you come bursting with ideas and can see patterns in data, we’re excited

    • A curious mind, especially when it comes to people and what makes them tick

    • A strong communicator - written and verbal. Being able to find the right words to articulate the question, the story, and everything in between is a big deal for us.

    IT’LL BE HELPFUL IF YOU HAVE:

    • Previous experience in research - could be academically, could be in the form of internship/s - even if it’s a short stint, we’d love to hear about what you’ve already had exposure to

    • Relevant coursework, such as marketing, market research, business, journalism, psychology, social sciences, statistics, etc.

    • Familiarity with all basic Office applications
