    Kantar Consulting - Retail Team

    Kantar, the world’s leading data, insights, and consulting company, is expanding our team of retail insights experts covering the supermarket channel. We help our clients transform commerce insights into growth strategies across leading retailers, brand manufacturers, financial services, consultancies, and agencies. Using a unique blend of research, data, and knowledge, we offer industry-leading insights through our licensed platform, Retail IQ, host must-attend events deep diving into the channels, retailers, and topics that matter most, and help solve our clients most pressing business challenges with our custom advisory services. As an integral member of the team, you will be the subject-matter expert and lead the strategy, plans, and content development for the grocery channel. This will include researching, developing insights, and writing content that fuels our syndicated licensed product. You will also deliver client value across a range of Kantar events and webinars and select client projects.

    As a member of the Retail Insights team, you are an essential part of our connected business. Our collaborative and team-based work environment blends the spirit of supporting team goals, while providing the direction and resources to ensure your continuous professional development. This role reports up to the Director, US Grocery.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct independent and original research with mastery over the subject area of grocery.

    • Implore excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey actionable insights based on research.

    • Manage insights and analysis for your coverage area, including forecasts, website content, presentations, and more customized deliverables.

    • Collaborate with the broader team by identifying and contributing to key topical and thematic narratives that cut across coverage areas.

    • Draw implications that have meaning and relevance for Kantar clients in your core coverage area.

    • Begin to develop an external client-facing brand, and to establish business development skills and capabilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree and up to 1-2 years of work or internship experience, ideally in a field related to retail, consulting, or journalism

    • High level of intellectual curiosity and a flexible growth mindset

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to translate data into insights

    • Collaborative/team-oriented with good interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrated leadership and ability to initiate projects and achieve results

    • Solid organizational ability and attention to detail

    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing

    • Data manipulation skills with Microsoft Excel
