Kantar Public is the public policy and social research arm of Kantar, the world’s leading data and insights company. We are seeking a machine learning analyst to join the Public team.

Responsibilities

The role will support a global team working on the development of a data integration platform product that uses geospatial analysis methods to produce high-resolution spatial analyses and insights using geolocated survey data in combination with geodata from other sources. The role will support the international development practice serving clients focused on solving social problems in developing countries in Africa and Asia, as well as public policy research in developed countries.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a highly quantitative field (Computational Social Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Successful track record of contributing to product development by building ML models in Azure, Amazon Web Services or other cloud computing environments
• Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment

Capabilities

• Industry experience in predictive modelling, data science and analysis using geospatial data
• Skilled user of Python and/or R for spatial analysis  
• Able to write production level code, which is well-written and explainable
• Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for improving data modelling processes
• Experience communicating complex technical concepts to broad audiences in simple terms verbally and in writing
• Successful track record of producing compelling data visualizations and giving data presentations
