    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    The Research Analyst is a market research professional who will assist with all operations related to an exciting media measurement panel Kantar has built for a major client. The Analyst will report directly to the Panel Operations Director and assist with executing and improving all daily, weekly and monthly processes that are critical to the success of the panel. The role is well-suited for an individual who can work comfortably in a fast-changing environment and quickly adapt to both changes in existing processes and the integration of new aspects. It will be important for this person to develop good working relationships with both the client and internal Kantar resources, in order to effectively assist the team with panel management. Furthermore, the role allows the candidate to take a great deal of independent responsibility over his/her work, given that he/she can effectively communicate his/her thoughts and decision-making rationale to his/her manager.

    The Research Analyst will assist in managing all aspects of the Digital Reflection Panel, including:

    • Uses analytical tools to identify key trends and potential areas of concern in order to guide senior management on the best ways to manage and improve all panel-related processes
    • Investigates and helps respond to all client inquiries about operational aspects of the panel and/or data
    • Helps to develop and test new functionalities and workflows as the need arises over the lifetime of the panel
    • Communicates with Manager ideas for panel and/or process improvement and helps to carry out these initiatives
    • Executes all existing daily, weekly and monthly processes assigned by the Panel Operations Director
    • Develops basic SAS and/or SPSS skills (through training with Manager) to help with panel analytics, list building and reporting
    • Learns the structure and capabilities of the existing database to carry out data appends/updates

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and find workable solutions
    • Ability to manage multiple projects/processes under tight concurrent deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills - specifically how to report issues, manage client expectations, act as a trusted advisor and communicate in a timely manner under pressure
    • Experience and comfort working with large amounts of data from a variety of sources
    • Adept at using technological resources including MS Office (including VLOOKUP in Excel) and basic skills with SAS and/or SPSS preferred
