    ABOUT THE ROLE

Kantar is seeking a Sr. Analyst for the Walmart and Club team. As a key analyst, you will have a basic understanding of how retail and manufacturers operate and be able to begin to draw connections to the broader marketplace. You will utilize a unique blend of research, data, and knowledge to create industry-leading insightful content on the Kantar Retail Insights platform. You will play a critical role in the analysis that drives our content across multiple outputs including events, presentations, and client touchpoints.You will be answering the topics that matter most and help to solve our clients most pressing business challenges.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES

    • Conduct independent and original research with mastery over core coverage responsibility, across Walmart and the Club channel, with potential to extend responsibilities to some cross retail projects.

    • Employ excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey actionable insights based on research.

    • Manage insights and analysis for your coverage area, including retail sales forecasts, website content, presentations, and customized deliverables.

    • Collaborate with the broader team by identifying and contributing to key topical and thematic narratives that are relevant across all retail coverage areas.

    • Draw implications that have meaning and relevance for Kantar clients in your core coverage area.

    • Begin to develop meaningful connections across Kantar and with clients, and to establish business development skills and capabilities.

    CAPABILITIES

    • 2-5 years in retail, market research, and/or consulting with retail industry knowledge

    • Experience with Walmart or the Club channel gained either working at retailers and/or for suppliers working directly with retailers is preferred

    • An understanding of CPG, retailer, or shopper/consumer needs

    • Effective project management skills, with the ability to perform independently and as part of a team

    • Proven ability to analyze and draw actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative research

    • Strong communication and writing skills

    • Proactively stay on top of key trends across the macro landscape

    • Proven analytical or financial acumen

    • Intellectually curious with a growth mindset
