    PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together to address some of the country’s most crucial health problems. In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C, immunization, injection safety, maternal health, and more.

     

    PATH is currently recruiting for a TECHNICAL EXPERT KEY POPULATION under the project Sashakt, to support in the design, planning and implementation of HIV prevention to care and treatment continuum interventions among key population (KP) in the high burden states of Northeast and selected sites in Maharashtra.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Provide technical support in designing strategies to expand the coverage of men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender (TG), female sex workers (FSW) and their partners in all priority districts as planned under the Project Sashakt
    • Provide technical support in the implementation of the integrated package of services tailored to these populations
    • Design and scale up virtual intervention strategies for MSM, TG and FSW populations including innovative approaches as per the Project Sashakt
    • Provide technical guidance in the implementation of community score card system among all typologies in all the priority districts of Northeast and Maharashtra.
    • Organize periodic community consultations for program improvement in Northeast and Maharashtra
    • Provide technical support in strengthening the program response among MSM, TG and FSW populations in Maharashtra and national level
    • Design and support the implementation of innovative strategies for maintaining and augment HIV response during COVID times
    • Implement a monitoring system including micro planning, granular analysis and routine review meetings to track the progress in achieving the targets in Northeast and Maharashtra
    • Participate in review meetings of SACS and NACO
    • Prepare periodic reports as required for reporting to SACS, NACO, and CDC

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related field with at least 6-7 years of technical experience preferably in prevention, care, and treatment programme with KPs (female sex workers, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs and transgender individuals).
    • S/he will have at least 3-4 years of demonstrated program implementation experience with KP’s and well accepted within the KP community
    • Experience in projects that involve liaising with Government institutions and private sector players/corporates/healthcare providers/NGOs.
    • Experience in analytical, communication, presentation and report writing skills.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and collaborate work effectively with senior staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels.
    • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and intense pressure to perform.
    • Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination.
    • Experience in public speaking and professional presentations.
    • Field oriented and a comfortable with a team approach to programming.
    • Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Qualifications

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Execute research studies from design through data analysis and reporting with minimal assistance
    • Contribute to survey programming, open-end coding, and data analysis
    • Analyze and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights
    • Develop compelling research deliverables using data/insights to craft a story
    • Communicate with clients and internal teams throughout all phases of research
    • Develop proposals outlining scope, methodology, deliverables, timing, and cost
    • Conduct competitive research and trend analysis using syndicated resources like Mintel, Ibis World and Simmons
    • Deep knowledge and applied experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods
    • Analysis techniques such as correlations, driver analysis, and multivariate analyses (such as cluster/segmentation analyses)
    • Moderate qualitative research – IDIs, focus groups, ethnographies, mobile diaries, etc.
    • Recommend new research techniques or improvements to existing techniques
    • Programming and analyzing surveys in an online platform

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in market research, marketing, statistics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, or related field.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer insights, market research, consulting or similar role
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to perform in-depth data analysis
    • Visually representing data in an easy-to-digest format
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written/visual) to deliver compelling presentations
    • Project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting timelines and priorities as necessary
    • Interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging work environment and a high level of responsiveness to others
    • Organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to follow-through on assigned tasks
    • Work autonomously, operate in ambiguous situations and independently drive projects
    • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn and develop quickly
    • Experience creating reports/visuals in PowerPoint, Keynote and Excel
    • Experience working on the supplier side, advertising or client-side a plus
    • Experience using research tools such as Decipher, Displayr, and Netbase
