Brand Ambassador for Samsung ($13/hr+)

The AroundCampus Group, LLC (AC) is looking for enthusiastic, driven, and well-connected college students to build brand recognition of Samsung, one of the most widely respected brands around the world.
Brand Ambassadors will connect with relevant local merchants and students across their campus to increase adaptation of Samsung Pay, and will work an average of 6-8 hours per week for the duration of the campaign during the spring 2017 semester.
As an AC brand ambassador you will:
Work with an AC campaign manager to provide insight into your campus and develop a marketing plan tailored specifically for your school
Demonstrate Samsung Pay technology to local merchants requesting adoption and promotion of the product
*AroundCampus Group to assist ambassadors in selecting the merchants, creating a plan for merchant visits, and nurturing initial relationship. Samsung to provide technology to ambassadors for use during the campaign
Encourage local merchants to launch a promotional “deal” for customers using Samsung Pay
Test Samsung Pay capability at local merchants
Place Samsung Pay sticker at participating merchant locations
Promote the availability of Samsung Pay at local merchants to students on campus
Improve your marketing, communication, event management, and leadership skills
Gain experience working independently and/or as a team member
Work on a flexible part-time schedule, an average of 6-8 hours/week for select weeks for the duration of the campaign
Self-report all campaign activities through photos and feedback surveys
You may be a good fit for this position if:
You’re a marketing or business major, or are actively taking related classes
You’re a self-starter, highly motivated, and energetic
You’re a strong communicator, have great public speaking skills, and are adaptable
You’re reliable – you can get things done without direct supervision
You’re effective at multi-tasking and can meet deadlines & campaign goals
Preference will be given to candidates who:
Have previous sales or marketing experience
Have previous retail experience
Have previous brand ambassador, promotion, or social media marketing experience
Have sophomore standing or higher - first years may still apply!
