    Job Description

    Cypress is a physician practice management company that provides management services to over 975 employees of 15+ companies in over 35 worksite locations, primarily in Monterey County. This position is responsible for answering phones and greeting customers. Provides information to callers. Communicates with various department and performs light administrative tasks.  

    • Answers phones quickly (by 3rd ring) and courteously, using approved telephone techniques and etiquette. Telephone skills must be exceptional. Screens and takes messages for Executive and Senior Management following established protocols.
    • Greets incoming customers in a professional and courteous manner and directs to the appropriate billing department.
    • Responsible for all Fed Ex/UPS deliveries. Check-in business equipment for IT department, tracks and logs orders and then notifies appropriate staff members via email.
    • Responsible for tracking, sorting and distributing inter-office Courier mail. Receives daily deposit bags from Bank Couriers; Responsible for pulling and tracking banking deposits and distributing to Accounting.
    • Distribute and prepare incoming/outgoing mail. Outgoing mail must be prepared and in the outside mail box by 3:00 pm.
    • Supports billing and collection department. Also provides Office Manager and Senior Management with clerical support when directed.
    • Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.

    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Computer literate; is familiar with Microsoft Window, Microsoft Word.
    • Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time.
    • Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly.
    • Maintains a pleasant and positive attitude.
    • Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
    • High school diploma or (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
