    Public Relations (PR) Intern Public Relations (PR) Intern - Experian is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Number: 185287 - Description(FONT) Experians North American corporate communications team is looking for an eager, hardworking and proactive individual who is interested in gaining practical and strategic public relations experience to join our team. Based in Costa Mesa, CA, in the North American headquarters, the role will include assisting the public relations team in performing day-to-day tasks, as well as helping coordinate public relations programming. This individual will work closely with the entire corporate communications team, including internal public relations, employee communications and social media to help promote the Experian brand and protect the companys reputation. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proficient understanding of public relations principles and tactics, basic experience with public relations tools and resources, a desire to research new story angles and innovative approaches to public relations campaigns, strong writing skills, and be a self-starter. Responsibilities: Media Research Assist the public relations team perform day-to-day tasks, such as uncovering new media opportunities, compiling media lists, managing editorial calendars, searching for news clips, tracking media activity and reporting. PR Programming Help the public relations team with the coordination and execution of campaigns, such as product launches, thought leadership and trade show/media events. Content Creation Draft content for Experian owned-channels, including the Experian Global News blog and social media channels, press releases, bylined articles and executive briefing documents. - Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications(FONT) A student in their senior year of college, or have recently completed their degree in communications, journalist, public relations or a related field Experience with a public relations agency or corporate public relations team is a plus Knowledge of public relations principles and tactics, as well as basic understanding of public relations tools and resources Highly-motivated self-starter Proactive, independent worker that also enjoys working in a team environment Compensation $18/hr (B) EOE including Disability/Veterans
