Our mission at Farmstead is to make fresh, high-quality food accessible to everyone. We’re a new delivery-only grocer that’s re-inventing grocery from the ground up. We focus on mid-market customers (think Safeway, Kroger, etc) and bring them a best-in-class grocery product experience right to their doorsteps, even in areas traditionally underserved by supermarket chains. We accomplish this by writing consumer-facing and operations orchestration code that allows us to be highly efficient relative to legacy supermarkets.

JOB SUMMARY:

FARMSTEAD HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR PICK / PACK ASSOCIATES. THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSEMBLING ORDERS, PICKING AND PACKING GROCERIES, LOADING WAREHOUSE SHELVES WITH INVENTORY AND COUNTING/WEIGHING PRODUCE. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO JOIN ONE OF THE LAST (AND LARGEST) UNTAPPED DIGITAL MARKETPLACES IN THE US!  FARMSTEAD IS EXPANDING RAPIDLY AND THIS COULD BE YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO GET IN AT THE GROUND LEVEL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Picking orders using a hand held device and scanner

Packing items in bags with ice packs

Quality control - correct inventory counts, ensuring quality products, checking best by dates

Meet hourly quota in completing tasks

Counting and weighing produce

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Attention to detail

Strong time management and organizational skills

Sense of urgency - Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Written and conversational proficiency in english

Must be at least 18 years old

Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment (30 to 40 degrees) for extended periods of time

Basic computer knowledge & tech app proficiency

Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift

Must be able to lift up to 40 lb

Pre-employment background check (county, state, national)

Must pass food handling training (paid by Farmstead)
